Children do not create accounts here — nobody does. There is no login, no chat with children, and no feature that collects information directly from a child. All information about a child is entered by you, the parent or guardian, while you build a book.

• A first name or nickname, age band, pronouns, and favorite things — used to personalize the story.
• An optional dedication and an optional everyday-moment description.
• Optionally, one photo of your child.

The name, favorite things, dedication, and moment description are encrypted at rest. The book is visible only through your own browser session, through an order lookup with the email, order number, and query password you saved, or through an expiring view-only link if you choose to share the book.

A photo cannot be uploaded without an explicit consent step: you must confirm you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that the photo is used only to illustrate the book. The server rejects any upload made without that confirmation. Each consent is recorded with its policy version and timestamp, and the record is deleted on the same schedule as the photo itself.

Only to make the book. When the story is written by the AI model, the name you entered in the name field is replaced with a placeholder before generation and restored afterward on our side. One caveat: if you also type your child's name inside a free-text field, such as the moment description, that text is sent as you wrote it when we outline the moment — so leave the name out of free text if you prefer it never reaches the model. The photo, if you provided one, is sent to the illustration model only as a visual reference when generation starts. There is no advertising on this site and no analytics or tracking scripts.

Generated pages pass an automated safety review that rejects unsafe actions, violence, fear, brands, and stray text before you or your child ever see them.

• Review: you can read everything the book contains at any time from your session or via order lookup.
• Delete the photo: while the book is editable you can remove or replace the photo, which deletes the stored copy immediately and revokes the consent record. It is deleted automatically anyway within 24 hours after generation ends, or within 7 days of upload.
• Delete everything: books without an order are erased automatically after 30 days; $0 test-order books after 180 days — images, story text, order records, and the child record itself. See photo & data deletion for the full timelines.
